Happy birthday to my best friend in the whole world! 

This is a photo of her from last summer visiting old family graves in Nova Scotia, which pretty much sums her up perfectly; 
poetic and dark and sentimental and gorgeous.

I wish we could toast with expensive champagne in person today but alas this country is too large, perhaps on skype?
