hell of a lot of sewing

I am in Calgary this month sewing costumes for the tv show 'Hell on Wheels'. It's 12-14 hours of constant sewing. I don't think i have ever worked this hard in my life.... my body aches, my brain is high on coffee all the time.

the wardrobe

i have been working as a stitcher in the Citadel theatre wardrobe this last month, sewing costumes for their final big play of the season. this is my little area where i work every day. you can see a tiny patch of sky through a skylight above. also you can look down into the scene/set workshop.

kayla and i got some free tickets to see the Oilers play tonight from a fellow stitcher in the wardrobe. we loved it! i ate a hotdog, some nachos and 3 beers! (one for each period). i  screamed for nail yakupov.

pipi and i are staying with my best friend kayla in edmonton for a month while i sew costumes at the citadel theatre. it's friday night and we are treating ourselves to some flowers and pink cocktails.

I've been drawing and painting a lot lately, like until 5 am everyday. it's all consuming. i'll share more later. i don't really make much clothing anymore so i feel like drawing clothing has become more for fun.

I use pencil, ink and nib, water colours and lately watercolour pencil crayons.
