labor day

we decided to take the day off after all and we spent it at the Jardin botanique de Montréal. They have an amazing giant greenhouse, it's so wonderful to walk through a museum that is alive. then outside is garden after garden after garden and we had it all to ourselves, it was overcast but so pleasant.

the water garden was my favorite. each plant had it's own little square cement pool and then there was fountains and little pools filled with lily pads everywhere.





over exposed glimpse at the new purse i'm working on and the poncho jon made me... more on that later.

the chinese garden has a million lanterns set up and starting september 10 the garden will be open at night to show them off in the dark! you should go.



well that was a quick haphazard review of the day. i'll post more pictures this week with a bit more purpose. xo
