This week I've been hand dyeing this linen some very bright colours for a custom crystal tote bag order. I'm thinking of adding some to my online shop as they will be a more affordable and vibrant summer option.

Black cats crave neon because (like with love) opposites DO attract.

Obsessions

New necklace I made. As you can see I am still obsessed with the horse hair. On etsy I listed it under necklace + fiber? There doesn't seem to be a hair necklace category.

Yup, still obsessed with the colour neon chartreuse as well, and will be until I use up all the dye I bought. 

And my next fixation.... can you guess? Jewels! Lots of sparkling costume jewels. It's going to be a very glamorous  summer.

Citizen SALE

This morning I dropped off some jewelry at Citizen Vintage for their very special Designer Jewelry sale (April 27 - May 3). Usually they only sell Vintage goods but this is a chance to buy something new that is locally designed and made. They are located at 5330 St. Laurent Boulevard, which is very close to Sparrow, so you could go and have a fancy cocktail and do some shopping this weekend. Treat yourself good.

I'm listing necklaces today online, four strand woven horsehair attached to four vintage brass chains.

OOTD

I was invited to a Montréal Fashion Week cocktail party this afternoon so they could announce the new location for next season's show. It's the beautiful giant Galerie Division in a wonderfully grimy part of town (2020 rue Williams). The presentation was mostly in french so I drank a lot champagne and I did a lot of ernest nodding. I saw some amazing artwork there and got fairly tipsy, so it kind of turned out to be a great afternoon.

Spring Fling

Please come visit me this Sunday at the Spring Fling: Clothing exchange and Sale. (I made this flyer as I thought the one for the event is quite boring). he he





The deal is you bring some clothes you don't want and $3 and you get a re-usable tote to fill with clothes you do want and then buy accessories from vendors (like me) to complete your new look. You'll want to hang around a while to see what other people are dropping off. That's why there will be drinks and snacks and music.

Donut of the month club

I bought my cats a few donuts for easter, crochet cat nip filled donuts (with a bell inside) by nekonook on etsy. They love them of course, they are little catnip addicts and destroy a lot of toys. And if your cats go through toys as fast as mine can there is the donut of the month club. A new and different donut delivered to your door each month! That being said they are holding up very well so far, except the white frosting one which krugman immediately put in his water dish and is now dirty. Spoiled pussy cats.

Mood Clothes

I ran into a friend today on the street and he said, "you don't look like yourself". I was experimenting with the raggity remains of my spring wardrobe this morning. DEAR GOD I need new clothes. He asked me if I was in a good mood or something? because I was wearing colour. I like the idea of clothes being your mood ring.
