i'm getting decorations and displays ready for my smart mart design booth. yes giant glitter sign with my name and little christmas cactus is the best way to represent myself.

first snow

we got our first big snow here in montréal, pipi got to feel the snow on her toes for the first time on our balcony. i am staying home and working but not always an option here in canada which is why i bought these....

De la Belle Époque au prêt-à-porter

i was at the Grande Bibliothèque last week doing some research/using the photocopier and i stumbled upon a wonderful paper dress exposition showing woman's clothing from 1880-1940, they were very historically accurate. i wish i had time to do projects like this. go check it out if it's still there.

remember november

november generally bores me. why couldn't we save thanksgiving for this month like the americans? i ususally do a cleanse this month to get ready for the chaos that is december. i'm just gonna put my head down and work hard because i have a lot of work ahead of me. Two christmas crafts sales, a pop up boutique and some secret exciting prospects coming up.

i love etsy. i never thought i would be an "etsy girl" i don't even sell that much on there (i just hit 50 sales!!) BUT i love looking and spending a few well earned pay pal dollars supporting people like me all around the world.

new clothes

it feels like a looong time since i've had new clothes but maybe that's just my woman's heart meowing, "closet full of clothes and nothing to wear". check me out; new leather leggings from my best buddy ursa minor and a 100% wool navy sweater i scored at vintage mart, a fantastic sale curated at some very lovely friend's studio last weekend.



also wearing my sewing safety glasses, i thought they went well with my new 80's hair cut.

chinese lanterns

halloween night i went to see the chinese lantern show at the montreal botanical gardens, as you can see it was STUNNING. unfortunately it was the last day but if you missed it there is always next year?





my favorite part though was running around the rest of the park in the dark taking videos of black water while sipping hot coffee to sooth my party hangover. i also got a very inspiring peek at the insectarium.



finished up the night ordering pizza with my jonny and a little show about zombies. the walking dead is actually good this season. it makes me squirm it's so scary.
