these dresses are made from mud silk; a labour intensive process that uses mud, roots and minerals to dye the silk. it is then left to sit in the sunlight and moonlight for a week to develop. natural and romantic.

out of my studio

i went on a little raji adventure last night. champagne at denis gagnon's store to check out a new designer then stop by to see this amazing work of art by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer which is set up outside of the MAC. her boyfriend assisted the artist and so i did a little modeling for the film crew as i tried out the exhibit. you have control over some of the beams of light by moving a plastic pipe on the ground; i felt like i could control the stars.





finally we wrapped up the evening with free tacos by grumman 78 (my fav) and red wine at the opening party for festival du noveau cinema, thinking of going to see a film? i suggest national parks project. that's a lot of links, are you still with me? because you shouldn't be, get off your computer and go check the out this amazing city.

comme des garçons (above) spring 2012 is as usual very bizarre and inspiring just like my jonny (jonathan schmidt), who i had the pleasure of showing with at fashion pop a few weeks ago (below). he's always ahead of the crowd and i feel lucky to be able to talk out my work/fashion problems with him.

i was featured this week on fashion minute, which is the hotest fashion blog in montreal, well that's what raji sohal told me..... she stopped by my studio to look at my work and try things on. she's one of those people who everything looks good on. she bought this necklace but to see a better photo you'll have to look at her blog or to see it in person go to unicorn boutique i just dropped some there on sunday.

haunted house of design

october is here and i feel the need to scare you. there are some very busy spiders in my studio...or one BIG busy spider. my most feared creature. i cannot pick up a spool of thread without squealing. i feel them watching me, plotting. also the electricity in the hallway is out at my studio so i have been leading stylists and customers up the stairs with a flashlight like some sort of haunted house of design.
