balcony sale

we are moving to montreal in one week and i had to get rid of many years of accumulated junk. so we had a yard sale or actually it was a balcony sale. it was a little cold but we had beers and music and friends. thanks everyone who came and bought my beautiful trash.

see right through you

fur bonnet and kitty harness

somewhere between a bonnet and a leather aviator. it's made form recycled fur and leather and has black ribbon for ties. it's lined first with a stiff melton wool for warmth and then a delicate silk for comfort.





thanks ava for the styrofoam head! it makes draping hats so easy.





working at home all day with only a cat for a co-worker makes you crazy... but in a good a way. i can't stop making my kitty things, her latest present is a black leather harness so she can go outside and play.













now that she has a taste for the outdoors my wild baby is always crying at the windows.

so what's in a name? i am no good at the naming and selling part of this business and no matter how hard i try i can't settle on something i want forever so... it's just genevieve savard i own the domain and my dearest is building the website. BUT every season will have a different name/theme and that will be the label on the garment or purse so you know when it came from. i get the best of both worlds; whimsical anonymity and the serious business of my full name holding it all strongly together. so as you can see fall 2010 is nicknamed "wolfy" and i will hand embroider it on every piece if i have to.

light bright purse

dreams do come true. i've been wanting lights streaming out of purses for a while now. canada can be so cold and dark and feel like a never ending winterland so i thought we could use a little light. also canada has some wicked warm summer nights where you come home pretty late and a little drunk and can't find your keys in your huge bag... voila light bright purse!



the future is now. i have wired a LED light into this prince louis purse. inside at the top is sewn a button that you hold to turn the light on and it is powered by a little coin lithium battery that can be replaced, though it should stay good for a long time. did i mention that it's machine washable?!



this purse is made from new black leather and gold hardware with an adjustable strap. it has two pockets sewn onto the outside with large antique gold zippers and inside there is a zippered pocket and a matching leather card case attached. the lining is stiff grey wool.



more snow. i love it here.

fur ball

this is pipi's new toy. i bought her this blue cat ball at superstore, it has a battery operated motor inside so it spins around on it's own dragging a play mouse. but the plastic ball on the hardwood was really loud and annoying plus the mouse would rip off. so i covered it in fur with a zipper opening so that you can still turn it on and off and added a fur mouse filled with catnip attached to the zipper pull to keep the cat interested. there is a movie of it so you can see it in action, it's pretty cute.

dip dyed feathers

this time just for fun i tried dip dyeing the ends of some earrings for an ombre effect, also i used a lot of green sparkly peacock wisps to accent. these special ones can be found at nokomis in edmonton, PLENTY in vancouver and a new store for myrtle and pearls called the tea leaf boutique in jasper.

drop crotch sweatpants

as unappealing as drop crotch sweat sounds i'm loving these pants, can't you tell? they are just a sample of pants, real pants yet to come.
