new toy

below pipi is modeling my latest toy, a brand new walking foot industrial sewing machine! it is very powerful and even though i am used to industrial sewing machines this will take some practice as i am finding it hard to control.

i love a storm

the best thing about having floor to ceiling loft windows is watching storms from them. last night was a beauty but they don't have thunder and lightening here like we did in the prairies.

spooky saint jean baptiste night

so we biked over to mile end for few drinks with pals eliz and ray, who are soon to be our montreal neighbors. then we danced on over to see an old buddy rp3 dj at an abandoned strip club (the playhouse). after he disappeared like a ghost we wandered the empty streets with black cats and a full moon. where were the bonfires? where were the fireworks? where were the people? scary night.

i am in love with Arielle de Pinto, meaning i love her work. i think if i could save up and buy one beautiful thing for the whole year it would be one of her pieces of jewelery. the fine fine silver and gold metal work has a beautiful, bedraggled textile quality to it. she lives and works in montreal!
