Feather Heaven

last week i died and went to heaven... and there were feathers! no they weren't angel feathers, i got to dig through a feather factories boxes and boxes of reject feathers. thanks very much jana. some of the colors are so wild, they're gonna make interesting earrings.

Nokomis Fashion Show

The nokomis fashion show was at the beginning of april and they asked myrtle and pearls to make some very special earrings for the show. here are some pictures of earrings and the models backstage. the show was really fun i'll post a video of the the runway as soon as i can. i believe you can buy the show earrings at Nokomis Clothing

Happy Easter

this easter monday after the long weekend of parties, drinking and spending time with my boyfriend's family. i just wanted my traditional quiet easter breakfast of beautiful boiled eggs, bacon, and toast. I still have coffee from honduras vacation and they serve the cream warm there so i put it in this adorable bird creamer i got at eden lily the most wonderful flower shop on whyte avenue.



To make easter eggs just bring the eggs to roaring boil and then reduce heat and continue to cook for 10 minutes (for hard). then mix your food coloring with 1/4 cup white vinegar and 1 cup hot water.

Pearls

i've always wanted a real pearl necklace but just assumed it would be too pricey. then one day at bead works in edmonton where i buy a lot of supplies i saw fresh water pearls on a strand and thought why can't i just make one? Here it is amongst all the junk jewelry i own.

it all looks like pirate treasure in this beautiful jewelry box my handsome boyfriend made me for christmas.
